There will be no training on Saturday, 4th April and Monday 6th April.
Normal training schedule will resume on Wednesday, 8th April
It was a long time coming and we were really looking forward to this day. And yesterday it finally happened. The Air Condition for our dojo has arrived and we could enjoy the first training session with it.
On Saturday, 13th December we will hold the final demonstration / grading for this year.
Following this, Rachel will be hosting a kids & parents class.
The final training dates for the year are as follows:
The club will then take a break over Christmas and come back on Saturday 17 January 2015 with the first training of the new year.
There will be a new years celebration sometime in January, venue and date TBA.
Today we had a black belt grading and are proud to anounce that all members who attempted grading passed.

This coming Saturday, 18th October, we will be having our black belt grading.
We will be conducting a combined class before the grading where kids and adults will train together. The adults will grade at the end of the session.
For this special day, we will be training at at different venue:
Macquarie University
Macquarie Sports and Aquatic Centre
Gymnasium Road, North Ryde
Just let the reception know you are there for Aikido in the martial arts area, which is reserved for us.
Please join us for lunch afterwards at the Ranch Hotel nearby if you are free.
Sensei Alan Higgs invited all Australian Shodokan Aikido clubs to Brisbane for a two day training and friendly competition. The purpose of this event was to raise the skills of participants and referees in preparation for the World Championships to be held in Brisbane next year.

On 27th September we will have another demonstration / grading for kyu belts instead of the usual Saturday class. As always, the grading will be followed by our usual BBQ. Please bring something to share.
Next year the bi-annual Aikido World Championships will be held right here in Australia.
It is only the 2nd time in the history of this competition that it is hosted in Australia, so this is an exciting event for all of us and an unbelievable opportunity to see the worlds best and have a go.
